I was almost finished packing the night before I was to leave for Prince of Wales (POW) island, Alaska, for a black bear and Sitka deer hunt when I got the call. The bureau of ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms) in Anchorage had confiscated my gun case that I sent via UPS several days earlier because they scanned it and found an aerosol can in it! Chemo Anniversary

Two years ago today I started initial chemotherapy for stage 4 cancer. I remember the apprehension with the first needle going in. I'm the last man standing. I'm more than a year over my expiration date. Everyone I was in the hospital with for the same but lesser stage cancer is long gone.  I am a poster boy for my doctors.

2012 was spent trying to keep breathing. 24 hour chemo and radiation twice a day for throat cancer. I came out of it with plenty of baggage, but I'm still here, thanks to God, the incredible doctors and nurses …

Glass More Important than Gun, NRA for Kids, and Another Crashed Scooter

I was asked by a friend of a friend to mount a scope on his new gun. He's a new shooter, and contacted one of our guys in Product Intelligence about what glass to put on his Mossberg 4×4. Dmitry owns the gun, and he was one of the smart ones regarding what to spend on what kind of optics. The Mouseburger isn't a high end gun, and in fact is quite entry level.
