Crimson Trace M3GI and Midwest Outdoors filming

Steven K. Ledin,

This Thursday I'll take a road trip to a farm where I'll shoot a few more tips of the week for Midwest Outdoors television show. This time the featured products are the Burris Eliminator III rangefinding riflescope, the Leupold RX 1000 TBR rangefinder, and a Weaver Tactical 5-25×50 riflescope. I installed the Burris on a favorite Weatherby Vanguard Sub MOA in 300 Winchester, and the Weaver on a Savage 10 McMillan in .308. The Eliminator III is unique, and on this Vanguard with a good rest, you can hit ANYTHING! at ANY DISTANCE, assuming you do your job. Movie fantasy scopes are alive and well here.

Next week I'll shoot for OpticsPlanet during the Crimson Trace M3GI (Midnight 3 Gun Invitational). This 3 gun shoot takes place in darkness, where lasers and lights are required for targeting. Here's some of the stuff I'll be using:

With an original 32 rounder

My new grilling gun and holster

My 1100, and a great, reliable friend I've had since about 1972

New clothes for my old 1100

Variety of new products going on. The Vortex Razor HD Gen II 1-6 is awesome.

Got my barrel threaded. Came back pretty sharp. Polishing a crown is easy.

Colt in vise

It's not all for work, though. Here's our lovely Heather with an OPMOD headband:

And a S&W M&P 22 with night vision:

And still had time to shoot a match at my club, and take a bike out to the woods.

Hope you are having fun!
