>Red Dot or Scope for Browning Buckmark

Steven K. Ledin,

A customer asked for advice in the forum the other day, and I thought it might help a few folks with the same quandry:

“Hi,

I am seeking advice as to what type of scope to mount on my .22 Browning Buckmark Contour. I will primarily be using it for both indoor and outdoor target shooting. The Buckmark has a 5” barrel and overall is 9.5” long. My budget is approx $200. I’ve read and have been advised that a 2X optical scope is good for my application. I’ve also read that a red-dot is good for .22s. My question

>400 Collectable Military Rifles

Steven K. Ledin,

I went to my favorite gun shop the other day to say hi. They just took in 400 of the most desirable military long guns I have ever seen in one place at one time. Absolutely unbelievable. I’ve been in this business for decades and have never seen such a collection at once. Some of the most exciting included Beretta BM-59s, police Mini 14s, lots of Steyr Augs, including one with white furniture and matching bayonet, a widely varied selection of Belgium FALs, HK 94s, Galils, Daewoos, HK 91s, FNCs, Dragonovs, a Postal Meter M1 carbine, a Sig AMT, and

>Customer Ring and Base Questions

Steven K. Ledin,

Purchased thru Optics Planet (satisfied customer RE price and delivery of scope and the services-advice of this forum).

Now on to my newbie questions: With regard to scope-base …

Bushnell Elite 3200 5-15×40 Tactical Riflescope on Beeman R-1 Air Rifle

Steven K. Ledin,

I installed some excellent new glass on my .20 caliber Beeman R-1 Anniversary model air rifle this weekend. The Bushnell Elite 3200 5-15×40 Tactical riflescope is airgun rated for the heavy dual recoil of magnum spring-piston airguns. This #325154T Japanese airgun scope stretches to over 14.5 inches, which is about the maximum length you can put on a barrel-breaking air rifle, and the objective lens housing is only about a half inch away from the barrel when pivoting it to load, which still permits easy access. Eye relief is a comfortable 3.5 inches. The fast focus eyepiece offers easy reticle

>Shot Show 2009

Steven K. Ledin,

Chicago weather the third week in January was below zero as I left for Orlando en route to the 2009 Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade show. The annual SHOT show is the single largest shooting industry event in the country. Over 23,000 vendors this year, and it felt like it. With me this trip were some of the upper echelon of OpticsPlanet including our CEO, president, some folks from purchasing, and volume sales. I brought Ryan from my technical sales team with to pop his cherry at his first SHOT show. The temperature was in the 70s a couple of …
