Anniversary Fishing with OPMOD PAC Bag and Binoculars, Jupiter’s Moons with OPMOD Spotting Scope

Steven K. Ledin,

It was our 20th wedding anniversary last Saturday, and also Saint Patrick's day! The weather was a perfect sunny 80 degrees and My Shirley and Tinker and I headed out early to my sportsman's club to fish! The frogs were calling, and I tied a Scum Frog onto my 10 pound Fireline with a Palomar knot.  If you don't know this knot, you need to, especially if you're using slippery braided line instead of monofilament. I don't even use a Trilene knot at all anymore. I lobbed the frog across and under countless lilly pads with my Shimano and St. Croix rod, but alas, no fish were harmed in the making of this story.

My OPMOD PAC Bag is my new favorite fishing gear hauler! It transports comfortably and easily, and is roomy enought to hold all my gear for a daily fishing expedition. I carried in it my OPMOD binoculars, some reading material and beer, my phone, glasses, small tackle box, towel, pliers, snacks, and gobs of other loot required to make not catching fish even more pleasant. Use one of these well thought out bags for your next trip to anywhere!

It was our first time fishing this year, and Tinker's first time ever! She did great!

How mom likes to fish!

The last few days have been great for planet viewing. Venus is high and bright, and just a little lower you can see Jupiter with its many moons. You can see them on a clear night with our OPMOD binoculars and spotting scopes! Venus and Jupiter won't be together again like this for a hundred years! Mars is to the East. Get out with your binoculars or spotting scope or telescope and look! Do it tonight!

Spring is coming! My Shirley chipped last season's winter garden detrius into yummy spring mulch! Get out and enjoy!
